However , the next moment you find a a nearby clean river or stream , or even a tap . Rinse the filter either a under the tap or syringe, it will be will restored.
Be sure to rinse with at least 1 -2 litres of CLEAN water to restore your flow rate. However if the water is still appearing to be cloudy after to rinsing , repeat the steps until water is clear.
Step 1 – You will know that your filter needs cleaning when you notice the flow rate has significantly decreased.
This occurs over time, regardless of the turbidity of your water source.
However, If maintained and rinsed when needed, will ultimately extend the life of your filter.
Step 2 - Be sure to set aside about 1 -2 literes of CLEAN water
Step 3 – Using the Flush Syringe

Ensure that water is clear when flowing through the filter during flushing.
Step 4 – Empty the plastic reservoir bucket and remove the filter from the hose.
Empty any water out of the bucket, rinse out any sediment out of the bucket, and disconnect the filter from the rubber tubing.
